Carbon nonwoven material CARBOPON
CARBOPON is carbon nonwoven graphitized material of black colour is
produced from hydrate cellulose fibers. In comparison with nonwoven
materials from staple fibers, Carbopon has more high strength and less
cost. This material saves physical properties by influence of
concentrated acids and alkalis at the high temperature. The work
temperature is: up to 3000 °C – in inert medium, up to 450 °C – in
oxygen-containing medium. Carbopon is stability to electromagnetic,
nuclear and space radiation.
The material has two types: Carbopon and Carbopon–V and three grades:
"5" - carbonized, "22" - graphitized and "Active" - activated.

Application:
Carbopon-5 and Carbopon V-5 are raw material in carbonfiber sorbents
production, filter materials and ablators, black-reinforced plastics;
Carbopon-22 and Carbopon V-22 are used as filter ablators, stuff in
black-reinforced plastics production; Carbopon Active and Carbopon V
Active are used in filters for water purification, for air purification
from solvents steams and other organic substances, for rectification of
galvanic solutions from organic, for production of means of individual
protection and for other purposes.
Packing: rolls (weight: 5 – 10 kg) are wrapped up in polyethylene
film and packed up in boxes from corrugation carton.
